Kazuma, Aqua, Megumin, and Darkness are officially heading back to the screen! During the “Colorful” 10th anniversary event for the beloved fantasy-comedy franchise on Sunday, it was officially announced that KonoSuba – God’s blessing on this wonderful world! 4 will premiere in 2027. Alongside the major announcement, the event dropped an “ultra teaser visual,” a 10th anniversary video featuring a fresh arrangement of Machico’s iconic season-one theme song “fantastic dreamer,” and crucial staff updates for the upcoming fourth season.
Fresh Director Takes the Reins at Studio ENGI While Core Creatives Return
The upcoming fourth season will be animated at studio ENGI, shifting production studios once again following previous seasons handled by Studio DEEN and Drive, alongside J.C. Staff for the film. Production will see Takaomi Kanasaki return as chief director, with Manabu Kurihara (The Detective Is Already Dead) stepping in as the new director. Fans can also rejoice as key creative pillars return to maintain the show’s signature comedic chaos, including series script supervisor Makoto Uezu, character designer Koichi Kikuta, sound director Yoshikazu Iwanami, and composer Masato Kōda.
