Kujira Anan’s Hit Romance Manga *And Yet, You Are So Sweet* Officially Concludes Its Run
The heartfelt romance story of Kujira Anan’s And Yet, You Are So Sweet (Na no ni, Chigira-kun ga Amasugiru) has officially wrapped up, releasing the fourth and final part of its milestone 60th chapter on July 22. Initially launched in 2017 within the pages of Kodansha’s Dessert Pink supplement before transferring to the main Dessert magazine in November 2020, the beloved shōjo series has officially brought its charming narrative journey to a close.
From Brutal Rejection to Unconventional Romance
The series follows 16-year-old Maaya Kisaragi after her heartbreaking public rejection, which leaves her ridiculed on social media. Her fortunes take an unexpected turn when the school’s most popular boy, Chigira-kun, overhears her venting about the ordeal and steps in with an unusual proposition to help her heal. Kodansha USA Publishing handles the digital English release of the manga—having recently dropped its 14th compiled volume on July 14—following the series’ massive mainstream success, which also inspired a hit live-action film adaptation in Japan in March 2023.
