Idea Factory International Dates the Supernatural Visual Novel 9 R.I.P. Sequel for Western Release on Nintendo Switch
Idea Factory International has officially announced that the supernatural visual novel 9 R.I.P. sequel will launch physically and digitally in the West for the Nintendo Switch on October 27. Alongside a brand-new promotional trailer previewing the game’s nine love interests, the publisher confirmed that the upcoming release will feature a Limited Edition as well as a bonus trading card pack bundled with the Standard Edition.
All-Star Voice Cast and Returning Creative Talent Lead the Sequel
The highly anticipated sequel brings back a star-studded Japanese voice cast featuring Toshiki Masuda, Ryōta Suzuki, Tetsuya Kakihara, Nobuhiko Okamoto, Shinnosuke Tachibana, KENN, and Yōhei Azakami. Directed by Amon, the game welcomes back Cupid Parasite artist Yuuya for character designs and illustrations. Musical duties are locked in with Tonari no Sakata performing the opening theme song “LOVExMAGiC” and yanaginagi handling the ending theme “ties.” Comprising nine distinct routes—including direct continuations of the original game’s Heavenly and Godly Endings alongside new characters—the sequel expands deep into the eerie lore first introduced by Otomate in 2023.
