Ukami’s Hit Comedy Manga *Gabriel Dropout* to End in Next Chapter
After more than a decade of heavenly humor and gaming addictions, Ukami’s beloved comedy manga Gabriel Dropout is officially reaching its final chapter. The September issue of Kadokawa’s Dengeki Daioh G magazine dropped the bittersweet news on Sunday, confirming that the long-running series will conclude in its very next installment.
From Heavenly Guidance to Hardcore Gaming: The Legacy of a Fallen Angel
Launched in December 2013, the gag manga series originally began as a bimonthly publication before moving to monthly serialization in April 2014, with Kadokawa recently shipping the 16th compiled book volume. English publisher Yen Press famously captured the series’ chaotic premise: high-achieving angel Gabriel White Tenma descends to earth to guide humanity, only to completely derail after discovering the all-consuming power of video games. The manga’s massive popularity also spawned a hit anime adaptation that premiered in January 2017, which remains available to stream on Crunchyroll.
