Hit Battle Royale Game Garena Free Fire Gets Official TV Anime Adaptation ‘Free Fire Daybreak’ for Spring 2027
Kadokawa and Garena Online Private Limited have officially dropped a brand-new promotional video for Free Fire Daybreak, a high-octane television anime adaptation of the smash-hit mobile battle royale game Garena Free Fire. Slated for a worldwide broadcast and streaming release in spring 2027, the series is being co-produced by Kadokawa and Garena, with Kadokawa Qingyu stepping in as production manager.
Enter New Dawn: Inside the Plot and Production of Free Fire Daybreak
Set in the near-future metropolis of New Dawn under the iron grip of the Horizon Corporation, the story follows 16-year-old Kelly as she gets swept up in “Project Bloom” and unlocks “Limit Break”—a mysterious ability capable of unlocking sealed forces. Teaming up with fan-favorite characters Hayato and Moco, Kelly sets out to expose a massive corporate conspiracy. The series is directed by Ken Takahashi (Ragna Crimson) at Japanese studio Candy Box, with music production handled by Sus4 Inc.
