Christy Knowings, Former All That Star, Passes Away at 46

Christy Knowings, a beloved member of the Nickelodeon family and former star of the iconic series All That, died on August 12 at a hospital in the Los Angeles area. She was 46 years old, as confirmed by her family to TMZ.

Knowings was hospitalized on August 7 after suffering an asthma attack that resulted in brain damage. Following five days on life support, her family made the heartbreaking decision to disconnect her from the life-support system.

Rising to fame in 1997, Knowings joined the fourth season of All That, succeeding Tricia Dickson. She remained a repertory player on the show until its original run concluded in 2000, where she played several memorable characters, including Winter Wonder, Penny Lane, and Brenda Stone.

In a 2014 interview with Complex, Knowings reflected on her character development, stating, “The characters were all written by the writers of the show, but in terms of the voices and how they were embodied, that was up to us. All those kinds of characters were developed on my own, like Brenda Stone.”
