Women’s IBF Lightweight Champion Elif Nur Turhan Signs with Most Valuable Promotions

Elif Nur Turhan, the reigning Women’s IBF lightweight champion, has officially signed with Jake Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions (MVP). With a professional record of 14 wins, including 8 knockouts, Turhan becomes the second fighter to join MVP from Matchroom following Skye Nicolson’s recent move under their “strategic alliance.”

In December, Turhan made headlines by defeating the previously undefeated Olympic gold medallist Beatriz Ferreira, securing her first world title with a Round 5 knockout in Monaco. Following her recent acquisition, MVP and Matchroom expressed their commitment to support Turhan in the next phase of her professional career.

“I hope that thanks to the partnership between Matchroom Boxing and MVP, the world’s two largest boxing promotion companies, women’s boxing will soon reach the level it deserves,” Turhan stated. She expressed excitement about the collaboration, viewing it as a strong signal for future initiatives in women’s boxing globally.

The signing opens up the potential for significant unification fights for the 31-year-old, as she joins current unified WBO and WBC lightweight champion Caroline Dubois and WBA champion Stephani Han on the MVP roster.

MVP co-founder Nakisa Bidarian highlighted Turhan’s credentials as an undefeated world champion and noted her status as the first Turkish fighter to join the MVP lineup. He described her as one of the most exciting fighters in boxing, emphasizing her impressive punching power and aggressive style.
