Meghan Trainor Creates Look-Alike Doll for Son to Alleviate Separation Anxiety

Meghan Trainor, known for her hit “All About That Bass,” recently shared that she had a doll crafted in her likeness to help her son, Riley, cope with his separation anxiety during her time on the road. The Grammy-winning singer posted a video on Instagram on August 13, where she revealed her son’s struggles with separation anxiety.

In the Instagram video, Trainor explained, “My sweet 5-year-old boy is having separation anxiety, so he’s started using his stuffies, his Smurfette, and was like, ‘This is Mama, this is Mama,’ and I thought, ‘I’ll make a mama, I’ll make a stuffie that looks like Mama.’” She then showed viewers the look-alike stuffed doll, noting, “The thing is, I did, and he loves it. He kisses it, he hugs it.”

Riley, while cuddling the doll, approached Trainor to express his affection for her. “Showing off your mama doll,” she responded. “Aw, you love it? You think this looks just like me?”
