Arsenal’s Bold Move: Is a Brighton Midfield Star Poised for a Shocking Transfer?

Date:

Arsenal Pursues Hinshelwood; Como Seeks Loan for Delap

Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Jack Hinshelwood is a primary target for Premier League champions Arsenal, with the Gunners reportedly in the lead to secure the 21-year-old’s signature. Arsenal has already initiated contact with Hinshelwood’s representatives and is preparing an official bid, while Manchester United has also expressed interest and is planning its own move. Manchester City is monitoring the England U21 international, who can operate as both a midfielder and a right back. Brighton is inclined to retain their academy graduate but may permit his departure if a bid exceeds £43 million.

Italian club Como is reportedly eyeing Chelsea forward Liam Delap for a potential loan move this summer. The 23-year-old has faced challenges at Chelsea since his £30 million transfer from Ipswich Town in 2025, having scored just two goals in 41 appearances last season. Como, led by former Chelsea and Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas, turned to Delap after unsuccessful negotiations with Fiorentina striker Moise Kean.

In other transfer news, Chelsea is preparing to offload winger Pedro Neto, with Saudi Pro League side Al Hilal reportedly agreeing on personal terms. Al Hilal is expected to meet the €60 million asking price for the 26-year-old, whose potential exit from Stamford Bridge has been widely speculated.

Newcastle United has expressed interest in Brighton midfielder Carlos Baleba as they aim to bolster their squad following the departures of Bruno Guimarães and Sandro Tonali. Baleba, 22, has been identified by Newcastle’s new manager Matthias Jaissle, while Manchester United’s interest appears to have cooled due to the arrival of Andrey Santos, despite prior links to the player.

Meanwhile, Paris Saint-Germain is reportedly close to finalizing a deal with Ajax for winger Mika Godts at a fee of approximately €55 million. The 21-year-old Belgian international has secured personal terms with the French club after a standout season, where he scored 17 goals and assisted 13 in the Eredivisie.

In done deals, Barcelona’s Ferran Torres has joined PSG for €50 million, and Cristian Romero has moved from Tottenham Hotspur to Atlético Madrid for €35 million plus variables. Additionally, Chelsea’s Dastan Satpayev has been loaned to Burnley following a six-year contract with the London club. Barcelona is poised to make a renewed offer for Manchester City’s Rodri, valued at over €70 million.

Other rumors include Manchester City’s Rodri nearing a move to Barcelona, while Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United are competing with Arsenal for Galatasaray’s Victor Osimhen. Crystal Palace is finalizing a deal for Zavier Gozo from Real Salt Lake, and Everton must meet a £25 million asking price for Crystal Palace’s Daniel Muñoz.
