Barcelona Eyes Arsenal’s Viktor Gyökeres Amid Growing Transfer Buzz

Barcelona is reportedly exploring a move for Arsenal striker Viktor Gyökeres as a potential replacement for Ferran Torres, who has recently transferred to Paris Saint-Germain. According to El Chiringuito TV, Barcelona plans to assess whether Arsenal would be open to discussing a transfer just one week before the Premier League season begins. Gyökeres had a notable debut season for Arsenal, scoring 20 goals across all competitions.

In addition to Barcelona’s interest, Real Madrid is also turning its attention to the Gunners’ squad, specifically targeting midfielder Martín Zubimendi. TEAMtalk reports that discussions have already begun with the 27-year-old’s representatives. Zubimendi, who arrived at the Emirates Stadium last summer for €60 million, played a crucial role in Arsenal’s title-winning campaign, participating in all 38 Premier League matches last season. Although he has been linked with Chelsea, Arsenal would consider allowing him to leave for the right offer.

Other Transfer Developments

São Paulo has reportedly approached free agent striker Jamie Vardy following his departure from Cremonese, which relegated to Serie B. Vardy is mulling over his options as multiple clubs show interest, according to transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano.

In the Premier League, Chelsea and Manchester United are keen on AS Roma midfielder Manu Koné, who has a €50 million price tag set by Roma. This follows a rejected €43 million offer from Atlético Madrid. Koné’s performances at the recent World Cup, where he made five appearances for France, have fueled further interest in him.

Inter Milan is preparing a fresh bid for Liverpool’s Curtis Jones, proposing an initial €30 million fee with additional incentives. The 25-year-old midfielder has been a consistent target for Inter during this transfer window.

Additional Rumors

Manchester City winger Savinho has reportedly signed a six-year contract with Tottenham as the deal nears completion. Liverpool has come to terms with Paris Saint-Germain’s Bradley Barcola, prioritizing finalizing his transfer. Meanwhile, Getafe is in discussions to secure Liverpool midfielder Stefan Bajcetic.

Napoli maintains interest in Arsenal’s Gabriel Jesus but must first offload a player before making a move. Roma is nearing a deal for FC Porto’s attacking midfielder Rodrigo Mora, while Manchester United looks to part ways with defender Harry Amass.

Nottingham Forest is showing interest in AC Milan midfielder Youssouf Fofana, and Leeds United forward Joel Piroe is also on West Ham’s radar. Braga has struck a deal for Barcelona midfielder Tommy Marques, reportedly worth over €10 million, while Strasbourg is set to sign Costa Rica international defender Jeyland Mitchell from Sturm Graz for €8 million. Additionally, Atalanta continues to pursue Nottingham Forest winger Nicolo Savona.
