Hayden Panettiere Expressed Hopes for Daughter Kaya’s Future Before Her Death at 36

In the months leading up to her tragic death at age 36, Hayden Panettiere shared her aspirations for her daughter Kaya, whom she shares with ex-partner Wladimir Klitschko. In a May interview with E! News, Panettiere revealed her daughter’s budding interest in the entertainment industry.

“I started getting calls from my 11-year-old being interested in the industry so that’s more of a nail bitter,” Panettiere explained. She emphasized her desire to support Kaya’s ambitions while also guiding her to take her time, stating, “I always want to support whatever she wants to do but I am trying to guide her toward, ‘Let’s not rush into anything.’”

Reflecting on her own early start in acting at just 11 months old, Panettiere articulated a different vision for her daughter’s path. She encouraged Kaya to explore various experiences, suggesting, “Why don’t you try a few things out and have a college experience?” She expressed concern about the loss of privacy that comes with fame, adding, “Once you’re out there and you’re famous and known, there is no getting your privacy back.”

Panettiere also mentioned her memoir, This Is Me: A Reckoning, which she hoped could serve as a valuable resource for Kaya in understanding her mother’s battles, particularly with postpartum depression.
