Kim Cattrall Remembers Hayden Panettiere Following Tragic Death at 36
After the confirmation of Hayden Panettiere’s death at the age of 36 on August 16, Kim Cattrall, her co-star from the Disney film Ice Princess, shared a heartfelt tribute on Instagram. Cattrall, who portrayed Panettiere’s on-screen mother, Tina Harwood, expressed her sorrow with the words, “Rest in peace sweet Hayden. Gone far too soon,” in a post made on August 17.
Accompanying her tribute was a nostalgic photo from the set of Ice Princess, featuring Panettiere as Gen Harwood looking affectionately at Cattrall. The emotional nature of Cattrall’s remembrance is magnified by the recent passing of their co-star Michelle Trachtenberg, who died at 39 just over a year prior. At that time, Cattrall honored Trachtenberg’s memory in a similar manner, posting a still from the same film and writing, “Rest in peace sweet Michelle.”
Panettiere’s family released a statement on August 16 confirming her death. Her father, Skip Panettiere, described her as “an incredible light and a force of nature who brought immeasurable love and joy to all who knew her,” during an interview with People.
