Sarah J. Maas Shares Updates on ACOTAR and Crescent City Series
In recent comments, author Sarah J. Maas acknowledged the lengthy process of writing her narratives, indicating that part four of her Crescent City series remains unwritten as she focuses on the completion of part one. “Those were really f–king long,” she remarked during a discussion about the books.
Fans of Maas’s work are eagerly anticipating the next novels in her popular A Court of Thorns and Roses (ACOTAR) series, which includes titles such as A Court of Mist and Fury, A Court of Wings and Ruin, A Court of Frost and Starlight, and A Court of Silver Flames. Additionally, readers are awaiting new information on the fourth book in the Crescent City series, which Maas confirmed will feature a crossover set in the ACOTAR universe.
During an appearance on Today in 2024, Maas expressed her excitement for the upcoming installment, stating, “I’m very, very excited about that one. I know much more about what’s happening in this one.” She elaborated that she has general ideas and thoughts regarding the subsequent book but is still navigating the nuanced emotional journeys of the characters involved. “But the nitty gritty of writing and the emotional journeys with the characters—I usually love to go on those journeys with them,” she added.
