Hayden Panettiere Pronounced Deceased at Scene Following Incident
On August 17, a spokesperson for the Greenville Police Department confirmed that medical assistance was provided upon arrival, but the individual, later identified as actress Hayden Panettiere, was pronounced dead at the scene. This announcement follows the tragic death of the I Love You, Beth Cooper star, which has left her family in mourning.
In an August 16 statement to People, her father, Skip Panettiere, expressed the family’s “profound sadness,” describing his daughter as “an incredible light and a force of nature who brought immeasurable love and joy to all who knew her” as well as to “the millions who watched her onscreen.”
Connie Britton, Panettiere’s costar from the series Nashville, also shared her grief, stating that she has “no words” to convey her feelings. On Instagram, Britton posted on August 17, saying, “Just heartbreak. I love you girl. Sleep easy now.”
