Gwyneth Paltrow to Host Private Dinner for Sam Altman in the Hamptons
Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, is set to attend a private, off-the-record dinner hosted by actress and entrepreneur Gwyneth Paltrow on August 29 at her residence in the Hamptons, as reported by Puck.
Paltrow, who founded the wellness brand Goop, is also a prominent investor through her firm, Kinship Ventures, which she established in 2021 with Moj Mahdara. In 2023, it was reported that Kinship Ventures was in the process of raising a $75 million fund, although it remains uncertain whether the fund has been finalized. The firm has invested in OpenAI and various other AI enterprises, including the vibe-coding tool Lovable and the AI-driven marketing platform Nectar Social.
Efforts to obtain comments from both Goop and OpenAI have been made. Paltrow has increasingly voiced her views on artificial intelligence in recent years, indicating her engagement with the technology in her business operations. Notably, her Goop Kitchen has also signed a lease for the ground floor of Anthropic’s headquarters in San Francisco. In addition, OpenAI bolstered its team earlier this year by hiring Charles Porch, who has been referred to by Vanity Fair as the “celebrity whisperer.”
