Greenville Police Conduct Welfare Check at Brian Hickerson’s Family Home Following Hayden Panettiere’s Death
Authorities in Greenville, South Carolina, have conducted a welfare check at the family home of Brian Hickerson, three days after the unexpected death of actress Hayden Panettiere. On August 19, the Greenville Police Department confirmed the officers responded to a call for a welfare check at the Hickerson residence on Wednesday morning.
A spokesperson for the police department clarified that the welfare check was “unrelated to the Hayden Panettiere death investigation and did not require an incident report.” E! News has sought comments from the Greenville Police Department but has yet to receive a response.
Brian Hickerson and his brother Zach were reportedly with Panettiere at the time of her death on August 16. An incident report obtained by E! News indicated that emergency medical services were on the scene and attempted life-saving measures for an extended period. Dispatch audio sources from People and TMZ noted that EMS began treatment for what appeared to be an overdose and cardiac arrest upon their arrival.
