Margaret Qualley Expresses Anxiety Over Foot Display in Film
In a candid reflection, Emmy nominee Margaret Qualley shared her initial trepidation about showcasing her feet in a film, which drew upon her extensive background as a ballerina. In an interview with IndieWire in 2019, Qualley recounted her reservations, stating, “I genuinely was like, ‘Quentin, this is a bad idea. I don’t have good feet.’ I was in pointe shoes for far too long to have toes that can be shown to the world.”
Qualley revealed that the decision to include her feet in a scene involved significant discussion with director Quentin Tarantino and actor Brad Pitt, who reassured her, insisting, “You’re fine.” However, Qualley remained unconvinced, emphasizing, “No, guys, really, look, these are not good.” She acknowledged her tendency for self-deprecation but insisted she was being sincere in her assessment of her feet.
