After being put in to bat, Sussex navigated the new ball with care, losing only one wicket, as the second-wicket partnership between Tom Haines (49) and Tom Clark (30) amassed 69 runs. However, Warwickshire’s Michael Booth shifted the momentum in his team’s favor, removing both Haines and Clark in his second spell, thereby tightening the contest.
