Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders Drop Shocking News: Season 4 is Coming—What’s the Big Surprise?

Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders Face Financial Reality Despite Glamour

The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, renowned for their dazzling performances, face a stark contrast between their public image and actual earnings. According to a 2017 report from ESPN, cheerleaders for NFL teams earned approximately $75 to $150 per game, a figure that surprised many fans who assumed the cheerleaders were well-compensated.

Amid this backdrop, several former and current cheerleaders have taken on additional employment to support themselves. On the first season of the reality series “America’s Sweethearts,” Kelcey Wetterberg, a DCC alum, revealed her profession as a pediatric registered nurse. Similarly, newcomer Reece Allman (née Weaver), who returned to the squad for the 2024 season, worked at a Dallas florist to supplement her cheerleading income.

As reported by the Dallas Morning News, earnings for Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders have seen an increase, now nearing $400 per game, along with hourly wages for preparations and appearances. Despite this uplift, alum Kat Puryear remarked on the Netflix show, “I would say I’m making, like, a substitute teacher [salary]…I would say I’m making, like, Chick-fil-A worker that works full-time” money, highlighting the ongoing challenge of financial viability in such a visible role.
