Fans of emotional drama will soon see the conclusion of Rie Aruga’s Sheltering Eaves (Koboreru Yoru ni), as the manga’s seventh compiled book volume revealed on July 13 that the series will officially wrap up with its upcoming eighth volume. Launched in Kodansha’s Kiss magazine in September 2022, the series has captivated readers with its poignant story of survival, growth, and unspoken romance, with Kodansha USA Publishing actively releasing the series in English.

A Story of Survival, Growth, and Hidden Feelings

The heartfelt narrative follows Yoru, a high schooler sent to a group home at the age of ten following abuse by her mother, where a boy named Tenjaku took her under his wing. With only a year left before they must legally leave the home as teenagers, the duo faces a ticking clock to navigate their shared past and growing up. Amidst the pressure, Yoru must finally confront the romantic feelings for Tenjaku that she has secretly harbored throughout the years.
