The historical political drama Jaadugar: A Witch in Mongolia is expanding its sprawling 13th-century ensemble just in time for its upcoming broadcast. Set against the backdrop of the massive Yeke Mongol Ulus empire, the critically acclaimed series follows Fatima, a brilliant Persian medical expert who enters the Mongol palace and crosses paths with Töregene, the influential sixth wife of Ögedei Khan. The newly revealed character additions—featuring Akira Ishida as Dayir, Inori Minase as Khulan, and Shōya Chiba as Kurtogan—are set to shake up the tense palace politics. Spearheaded by chief director Naoko Yamada and director Abel Góngora at Science SARU, alongside theme songs by SEKAI NO OWARI and Queen Bee, the anime continues to captivate global audiences following its July premiere and international festival runs.
