Tracy Spiridakos Takes on New Role in USA Network’s ‘Anna Pigeon’
Tracy Spiridakos returns to television, this time starring in USA Network’s new drama Anna Pigeon, where she patrols North America’s national parks instead of enforcing the law in Chicago.
From Detective to Nature Advocate
In Anna Pigeon, Spiridakos portrays the titular Anna, a former urbanite who seeks refuge in nature following a significant personal tragedy. This role marks a significant shift from her previous character, Detective Hailey Upton, in NBC’s Chicago P.D., where she spent eight seasons before exiting in 2024.
A Contrast in Character Dynamics
In an exclusive interview, Spiridakos highlighted key differences between her two roles. She described Hailey as a “really intense character” who is serious and focused, contrasting with Anna’s more impulsive and free-spirited nature.
A Shift in Emotional Expression
Spiridakos elaborated on this character contrast, noting that while Hailey maintains control over her emotions, Anna embraces and acts on her feelings in the moment, showcasing a significant departure from her previous portrayal.
