Eva Longoria Reflects on Leaving Los Angeles for Mexico and Spain
Eva Longoria, best known for her role in Desperate Housewives, has transitioned from her long-standing residence on Wisteria Lane to a new life split between Mexico and Spain.
Longoria’s Reasons for Leaving California
In a November 2024 interview with Marie Claire, Longoria expressed that her departure from Los Angeles was due to a changing atmosphere even prior to the pandemic. She cited factors such as rising homelessness and taxes, stating, “It just feels like this chapter in my life is done now.”
Work, Not Politics, Motivated Longoria’s Move
Addressing concerns about her relocation, Longoria clarified on The View: Behind the Table podcast that her decision was not influenced by the political climate, including President Trump’s re-election. Instead, it was guided by her work commitments, particularly for her projects like Land of Women and Searching for Mexico.
Longoria Continues to Pursue Acting Projects
Since relocating, Longoria has remained active in her career, taking on roles in recent productions such as Only Murders in the Building and Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Road Trip.
