Tensions Lead to Leadership Change at Wondermind, Sparks Legal Claims

The complaint surrounding the leadership changes at Wondermind references an August 2025 Forbes exposé that highlighted internal tensions supposedly resulting in co-founder Mandy Teefey, 50, ousting fellow co-founder Liz Pierson, 31, less than two years after the company’s launch.

Pearson’s spokesperson addressed the situation, stating that she “would not characterize it as ‘pushed out.’” The spokesperson further noted, “Leaving Wondermind was a very difficult decision, but she was proud of what they had built in the time there.”

E! News has also reached out to representatives for Selena Gomez, Mandy Teefey, and Liz Pierson for comments regarding the ongoing lawsuit but has yet to receive a response.

Wondermind, launched in 2021, was established by the trio with the aim of creating “a space to work it all out every day with candid conversations, physical tools, daily content, and a supportive community,” as stated on the company’s official website.
