Megan Fox Describes Machine Gun Kelly as a “Once in a Lifetime” Romance
Since their first meeting in 2020 on the set of the film Midnight in the Switchgrass, Megan Fox has referred to her relationship with rapper Machine Gun Kelly, born Colson Baker, as a “once in a lifetime” romance. In a July 2020 podcast appearance with director Randall Emmett, Fox shared her immediate reaction upon learning that Machine Gun Kelly was joining the film’s cast. “I knew, I could feel that some wild s–t was going to happen to me from that meeting but I wasn’t sure what. I just felt it in my solar plexus that something was going to come from that,” she recalled.
Fox had recently separated from her husband, Brian Austin Green, in late 2019, and later called Machine Gun Kelly her “twin flame,” emphasizing that their connection was deeper than that of soul mates. The couple wasn’t reserved in showcasing their affection; Fox appeared in Kelly’s music video, they received matching tattoos, and made their red carpet debut as a couple. Their relationship culminated in an engagement in January 2022.
Although Fox and Machine Gun Kelly have since parted ways, they welcomed a daughter, Saga Blade Fox-Baker, in March 2025. The two have committed to co-parenting, with Machine Gun Kelly praising Fox during a June 2025 episode of Today, stating, “Megan is a great mom. She’s killing it. I’m so excited.”
