Leah Shirley Begins Senior Year of High School
Leah Shirley, the 17-year-old daughter of Amber Portwood and Gary Shirley, has officially started her senior year of high school. This milestone comes nearly 20 years after her parents were featured on the reality show 16 and Pregnant.
Krisitna Shirley, who married Gary in 2015 following his split from Amber, marked the occasion by sharing a photo on Instagram of Leah alongside her younger sister Emilee, 11, whom she shares with Gary. The post, made on August 13, was captioned, “First day of SENIOR year and 6th Grade!”
The image captured Leah in a crocheted white sweater with bell sleeves over blue jeans, while Emilee donned a gray hoodie over a pink t-shirt and jeans. Both girls sported matching hairstyles, with their wavy hair mostly down and accented with a bow.
Fans expressed their disbelief over Leah’s rapid growth into adulthood, with one commenter exclaiming, “12th grade how is that possible??” Another remarked, “Can’t believe our tv niece is this grown up. Please stop growing Leah!”
