In a crucial fourth morning at the Darwin Test, Bangladesh’s Mehidy Hasan Miraz claimed three wickets, putting his team in a strong position as they aim for a pivotal victory. At lunch, Australia was sitting at 243 for 7, narrowly leading Bangladesh by just 15 runs.

Cameron Green, unbeaten on 85, has established himself as a barrier against the Bangladesh attack, recording his highest Test score on home soil. Throughout his 172-ball innings, Green has managed only four boundaries, displaying a resolute defense under pressure. Meanwhile, Mehidy has emerged as the standout bowler with a four-wicket haul, complementing his half-century earlier in the match.

Bangladesh’s disciplined bowling continued with a softened ball on a deteriorating pitch. Hasan Mahmud managed to induce two edges from Alex Carey, both falling into gaps in the slip cordon. Mehidy’s precision was evident, as he spun the ball effectively and built pressure through dot balls against Carey, leading to an edge caught by wicketkeeper Litton Das.

Mehidy struck again, casting Beau Webster with a delivery that maintained its line, hitting the off stump.
