Details Emerge Surrounding Hayden Panettiere’s Death

Following the death of actress Hayden Panettiere on August 16 at the age of 36, South Carolina authorities have released information concerning her final moments, revealed through 911 dispatch calls obtained by People and TMZ. The calls indicate a report of an overdose at her home in Greenville, with Emergency Medical Services confirming that “CPR [was] in progress” during initial responders’ arrival.

Emergency personnel responded to a call made by an acquaintance of Panettiere’s, arriving at her residence at approximately 1:51 p.m. local time. A statement to E! News clarified that medical assistance was provided upon their arrival; however, Panettiere was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The case is currently under investigation by the Greenville Police Department, in coordination with the Greenville County Coroner’s Office. An initial review has reportedly found no evidence of foul play or any suspicious circumstances surrounding her death.

Panettiere, who was the mother of an 11-year-old daughter named Kaia with ex-partner Wladimir Klitschko, had previously been candid about her struggles with alcoholism and opioid addiction, as well as her journey towards sobriety.
