Cagliari Forward Yael Trepy in Intensive Care Following Pool Incident

Cagliari forward Yael Trepy is currently in intensive care at Santissima Annunziata Civil Hospital in Sassari after an incident at a swimming pool in northern Sardinia, the club announced on Monday. Details regarding Trepy’s condition have not been disclosed.

The 20-year-old player was involved in the reported incident recently, which has raised concerns regarding his health. “Everyone at Cagliari Calcio is thinking of Yael and his family,” the Serie A team stated. “The club also asks that their privacy be fully respected and will provide further updates when available.”

Trepy made his mark on the field last season, scoring once in eight Serie A matches. He had most recently played in a 1-0 victory over Arezzo in the Coppa Italia on Friday.
