Brenden Aaronson Signs Three-Year Contract Extension with Leeds United

Leeds United have announced that U.S. attacker Brenden Aaronson has signed a new three-year contract to remain with the club. The announcement was made on Thursday, just ahead of the team’s opening league match against Nottingham Forest.

Aaronson, 25, joined Leeds in 2022 following his professional debut with the Philadelphia Union in Major League Soccer (MLS). Before making the move to Leeds, he played for RB Salzburg during the 2021-22 season.

The club expressed its enthusiasm for Aaronson’s extended tenure, stating, “Everyone at Leeds United is thrilled Brenden has extended his stay with the club. We now look forward to seeing him continue to impress at Elland Road and away from home over the years to come.”

During the 2025-26 Premier League season, Aaronson recorded four goals and five assists in 37 appearances, totaling 129 matches for Leeds since his arrival. He has made a noticeable impact in the lead-up to the 2026-27 season, particularly highlighted by his goals in friendly matches against Liverpool and Manchester United.

Earlier this summer, Aaronson was part of the U.S. team that reached the round of 16 in the FIFA World Cup, where he made one appearance in the group stage.
