⚡ Quick Read (30-Sec Summary):

  • Diablo 4’s Season of Hell’s Legacy launched over six hours late due to login issues.
  • Common error codes reported by players included 300006 and 300008.
  • The season introduces Deckard Cain and nine Legacy Unique items in celebration of the franchise’s 30th anniversary.

The launch of Diablo 4’s Season of Hell’s Legacy encountered significant delays and technical difficulties. Announced at BlizzCon over the weekend as part of the Diablo franchise’s 30th anniversary celebration, the season was expected to go live promptly but faced several hours of delays before its release.

Players encountered numerous login issues during launch, primarily facing error codes 300006 and 300008. The official Diablo account acknowledged the situation, stating, “We’re aware of an issue preventing some players from accessing Diablo 4. The team is actively investigating and working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible,” as reported on X.

Approximately two hours after the initial report, another update from the Diablo account disclosed the launch delay while confirming that access to Diablo 4 was entirely blocked during this time. The message stated, “We’re continuing to address issues affecting today’s launch of Season of Hell’s Legacy. As a result, Season 15 is currently delayed. We appreciate your patience while we work to resolve the issues and we’ll share updates as we have them.”

After an additional two-hour wait, Blizzard confirmed that login issues had been resolved, but noted that some game features would remain temporarily disabled. Ultimately, the Season of Hell’s Legacy went live over six hours later than initially planned, as detailed in another update from the Diablo account here.

Season of Hell’s Legacy is the latest live service season, reintroducing Deckard Cain, an iconic character featured in nearly every Diablo installment. Players embark on a quest against the prime evils: Baal, Mephisto, and Diablo. The season also introduces nine Legacy Unique items inspired by classic counterparts, alongside various gameplay tweaks.

This launch coincided with the debut of Diablo 4 on Switch 2, marking the first experience of the game for many Switch 2 players during this outage. Blizzard unveiled details about the new season during BlizzCon 2026, where they also announced the return of the Amazon class from Diablo 2, set to arrive in a paid pack in the first half of 2027, alongside the surprise announcement of Diablo 5, planned for 2029, and a Netflix animated show based on the franchise.
