Footage approximating two minutes in length from an apparent remake of the original Persona has surfaced online, suggesting the subtitle “Be Your True Mind.” This clip was posted on the GamingLeaksAndRumours subreddit and uploaded to file-sharing platform Gofile on October 31 under a Japanese filename that translates to “Megami Ibunroku Persona Remake.”

The leaked footage reveals a style reminiscent of Atlus’ recent titles, showcasing stylish menus, combat that mirrors elements from Persona 5 and Persona 3 Reload, and a cutscene reflecting a distinct graphic novel art style.
Fans analyzing the clip have identified several features that could lend authenticity to the leak. These elements include potential Unreal Engine debug text during combat—suggestive because Atlus adopted Unreal Engine for Persona 3 Reload—a remixed version of the original game’s Pandora theme, and a protagonist referred to as “Boy With Earring,” the character’s designation in Persona 2: Eternal Punishment.
As of now, Atlus has not made any announcements regarding a Persona 1 remake, and the accuracy of the leaked footage has yet to be confirmed, warranting skepticism.
In related news, during Gamescom, series director Kazuhisa Wada discussed the upcoming Persona 4 Remake and how Atlus plans to approach its original material.
