Customers encountered a message stating, “An error was encountered while processing your request: This item is currently unavailable in your region,” when attempting to access the greyed-out storefront listings for the games.
Initially, there were speculations that the removals were a strategic decision by Sony, as the company has hinted at reducing its PC title releases this year. However, a recent statement from Sony clarified that the delisting is unintentional. “We are aware of an issue affecting the availability of select titles on Steam in the UK,” Sony told VGC. “We are working with Valve to address the issue. We apologise for the inconvenience,” indicating both titles should return soon.
This unusual situation raises questions about potential backend adjustments or unintended consequences from ongoing changes. Nonetheless, it appears that Helldivers 2 and Horizon Forbidden West will again be available for users in the UK and Isle of Man shortly.
