Sony has announced the line-up of games for PlayStation Plus this month, which will be accessible starting from October 6, 2026. The October list includes:
- F1 25 (PS5)
- Hunt: Showdown 1896 (PS5)
- Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2 (PS5, PS4)
The standout title for October is Crytek’s Hunt: Showdown 1896, noted for its tension and atmospheric gameplay in both cooperative and competitive modes. Initially recommended back in 2021, the game saw its console release delayed until late 2024, accompanied by a significant 2.0 update last summer, ensuring a refreshed experience for players.
In his review, Edwin described Hunt: Showdown as “fantastically exhilarating and engrossing,” emphasizing its unpredictable nature where “stepping on a twig while chasing a zombie can get you shot from a hundred yards off.” He also highlighted the chaotic essence of boss fights in the game.
In addition to Hunt: Showdown, other titles include F1 25, a racing game yet to receive a review, and Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2, which offers a voxel art style and split-screen co-op gameplay, likely making it enjoyable for casual play sessions.
As users look forward to these new offerings, it’s important to note that the final day to add games from September’s PlayStation Plus selection is October 5.
