Akira Ishida and Misato Fukuen Join The Ogre’s Bride Anime Cast as Reiya’s Parents
The staff behind the television anime adaptation of Kureha’s popular light novel series The Ogre’s Bride (Oni no Hanayome) have officially announced two major voice acting additions. Veteran voice actors Akira Ishida and Misato Fukuen have joined the cast, bringing key family members to life just in time for the series’ fourth episode, which premiered on Saturday.
Meet the Kiryūin Family
Fans tuning into the latest episode got a surprise family reunion as Akira Ishida stepped into the role of Senya Kiryūin, Reiya’s father, while Misato Fukuen debuted as Sara Kiryūin, Reiya’s mother. Based on Kureha’s supernatural romance light novel—which is directed by Kazuhito Ōmiya at Colored Pencil Animation Japan and streamed globally via Crunchyroll—the series continues to expand its rich world where humans and demons peacefully co-exist.
