Anne Hathaway Responds to Baby Gender Question at D23 Event
During the D23 event on August 16, actress Anne Hathaway humorously addressed a fan’s inquiry about the sex of her unborn child while accepting her Disney Legend honor. As she stepped on stage, a voice from the audience shouted, “Boy or girl?” Hathaway responded with a playful, “Oh, just be patient.”
Cradling her baby bump, the 43-year-old actress added, laughing, “You’re gonna find out in five minutes,” alluding to her imminent due date. Hathaway, who is already a mother to two sons, Jonathan, 10, and Jack, 6, with her husband Adam Shulman, has chosen not to publicly disclose the gender of her third child.
In a previous appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, she shared, “We know, we’re not saying.” Following her lighthearted exchange at D23, Hathaway expressed her gratitude, saying, “Thank you for the support,” which was met with applause. She also reflected, “I always feel so rude saying that. I feel so bad.”
