Arie Luyendyk Jr. Undergoes Second Vasectomy Procedure
Arie Luyendyk Jr., a notable figure in Bachelor Nation, recently had a vasectomy for the second time, two years after reversing his first procedure. This decision comes as he and his wife, Lauren Burnham, aim to expand their family. The couple shares four children: 7-year-old daughter Alessi, twins Senna and Lux, both 5, and 10-month-old baby girl Livvy.
On August 14, Luyendyk Jr. shared an Instagram Story featuring a thumbs-up gesture, captioned, “Today’s a good day to get a vasectomy.”
In a change from his previous experience, Luyendyk Jr. opted to go through the procedure without Burnham by his side. He married Burnham in 2019 after meeting her on his season of The Bachelor. “I’m going at it alone this time,” he explained. “The first time was a little traumatic, and Lauren being there felt weird.”
Reflecting on his past experiences, the 44-year-old mentioned, “The second time, when I got the reversal, I was out cold.” This time, he is seeing a new doctor who utilizes laughing gas during the procedure, expressing hope for a smoother experience. He added, “But honestly, I can’t complain. This doesn’t hold a candle to giving birth.”
