Farrah Abraham Reflects on Family Struggles and Father Relationship
Farrah Abraham has shared her difficult experiences regarding family dynamics, emphasizing her feelings of disconnection as she grew older. “I thought everyone was a family,” she recounted, adding that her realization of their differences made her childhood particularly challenging.
Farrah expressed a deep desire for a stronger relationship with her father, Michael Abraham. “I really yearned to just have a relationship with my dad,” she said, citing her mother’s restrictions that prevented them from spending time together without her presence. Both of her parents worked as traveling salespeople, contributing to her limited interaction with her dad during her formative years.
In a previous interview with E! News, Farrah discussed the emotional impact of her mother’s behavior, referring to a “really bad mother wound” stemming from her parents’ divorce in 2010. “I had a really bad complex with my mom not being the mom that I needed,” she revealed, noting that therapy has played a crucial role in her healing process. She also stated, “That’s why you really don’t see anyone in my life of the past, because they did not serve something that I definitely need, which is a safe space.”
Despite these challenges, Farrah’s father has expressed support for her. During his appearance on the show *Secrets of Celebrity Sex Tapes* last year, he mentioned, “The last time I talked to her, I told her that I just want her to be happy and I want her to be safe.”
