Halle Berry Celebrates Early Birthday with Fiancé Van Hunt

Halle Berry, the Academy Award-winning actress, has been enjoying a series of birthday celebrations, starting with a family trip to Fiji earlier this summer. She recently announced on Instagram that she has planned another celebration, stating, “This time just me and my man,” referring to her fiancé, Van Hunt.

The couple has been together for six years and initially met in 2020 through a text message facilitated by Hunt’s brother, who worked for Berry’s company, Respin. Reflecting on their meeting, Berry recounted on the Today show in June 2025, “I said something like, ‘I don’t like to be set up,’ and he said, ‘Well, how has that worked out for you?’ And I said, ‘OK, touché.’”

Berry has navigated a complicated personal history, having been divorced from baseball player David Justice, singer Eric Benét, and French actor Olivier Martinez, with whom she shares a son, Maceo-Robert. Additionally, she ended a five-year relationship with model Gabriel Aubry, the father of her daughter, Nahla. After these experiences, Berry focused on personal healing before starting her relationship with Hunt.

Understanding her desire for a different kind of partnership, Berry believes she manifested her relationship with Hunt. In a discussion on Today in February 2025, she shared, “Having gone through three divorces, I finally knew what wasn’t working. And I realized I was always saying to the universe what I didn’t want.” She changed her approach to focus on what she did want in a partner, explaining, “I got very granular with it, and then he showed up.”
