Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt Reflect on Their Journey After Losing Home to Los Angeles Fires
Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt, popularly known as “Speidi,” have opened up about their enduring relationship, which began in 2006 when they met at a club. In a 2016 interview with Vice, Montag recalled her strong feelings for Pratt, stating, “I pretty much told everyone I was going to marry him and that I loved him. [Everyone] thought I was crazy.” Despite facing criticism and being labeled as reality TV villains, the couple remained steadfastly together.
Montag and Pratt got married and welcomed two sons, Gunner and Ryker, while continuing to cultivate their reality TV presence through projects like Celebrity Big Brother, Marriage Boot Camp, and The Hills: New Beginnings.
In January 2025, the couple faced a significant setback when they lost their home in the Los Angeles fires. As they began the rebuilding process, Pratt worked to promote Montag’s music on social media, leading to a revival of interest in her 2010 album, Superficial. In a February 2025 interview with Billboard, Montag expressed gratitude for the support they’ve received, saying, “For us to be able to feel people really come together and support us and our family, and to kind of burn off, literally, that shell and that stigma that we had for so many years, it’s nice that people can finally see through that and see that there was always a love story.”
