Hayden Panettiere Remembered by Family Following Her Sudden Death at 36

Hayden Panettiere’s family and fans are mourning the tragic loss of the actress, who passed away on August 16 at the age of 36. Her father, Skip Panettiere, publicly expressed his sorrow in a statement shared with People.

“It is with profound sadness that we share the tragic passing of our beloved Hayden,” he said. “She was an incredible light and a force of nature who brought immeasurable love and joy to all who knew her—and to the millions who watched her onscreen.”

Panettiere was pronounced dead in Greenville, South Carolina, shortly before 2 p.m. local time after authorities responded to a 911 call made by an acquaintance who described her as “unresponsive.” The Greenville Police Department confirmed that medical assistance was provided upon arrival, but she was declared deceased at the scene.

A spokesperson for the police department stated, “Upon arrival, medical assistance was administered; however, the individual, later identified as Hayden Panettiere, was pronounced deceased at the scene.”
