Hayden Panettiere Found Deceased After Cardiac Arrest in South Carolina

Hayden Panettiere, the actress known for her role as Claire Bennet in the television series Heroes, was found deceased on August 16 in Greenville, South Carolina, just days shy of her 37th birthday. On the day of her death, emergency services responded to a 911 call at approximately 1:51 p.m. and discovered a female in cardiac arrest.

According to a release from the Greenville County Coroner’s Office, emergency medical services attempted advanced cardiac life support but were unsuccessful. The individual was pronounced dead at 2:32 p.m. and later identified as Panettiere. It was noted that she had been temporarily staying at the residence where she was found.

The coroner’s office conducted an autopsy on August 17, which indicated no signs of trauma contributing to her death. The statement further revealed that the cause and manner of death are pending ongoing investigations and additional studies.

Panettiere reflected on her life and personal growth in her memoir, This Is Me: A Reckoning, released in May 2023. She expressed her commitment to continual evolution and the inevitable nature of life’s processes, stating, “I never want to stop evolving and changing for the better, and I’ll forever be a work in progress.”

The investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death remains active.
