IDW Drops English Release for Yūki Imada’s Sonic the Hedgehog: The Blade of Courage Manga
Sonic is trading his usual high-speed solo runs for an unlikely partnership, as IDW officially launched the English digital release of Yūki Imada’s Sonic the Hedgehog: The Blade of Courage (Sonic to Yūki no Tsurugi) manga via the IDW Comics app. Originally debuted in Shogakukan’s Monthly CoroCoro Comic magazine in June 2025 before receiving a compiled volume release in December, the series brings a brand-new dynamic to the Blue Blur’s adventures.
An Unlikely Duo Journeys Deep Into the Jungle to Save the World
Breaking away from the standard formula, the manga pairs the blazing-fast hedgehog with Yuta, a slow human companion. Together, this mismatched duo must trek deep into the jungle on a high-stakes mission to save the world. Creator Yūki Imada follows up this fresh adventure hot on the heels of wrapping up the Shadow the Hedgehog manga earlier in 2025 and previous collaborations like Mini4King with Hiroyuki Takei.
