Lara’s Rise: From Connecticut to KATSEYE in Pop Star Academy
Born on November 3, 2005, in Connecticut, Lara has built a notable performing career even before her recent appearance on Pop Star Academy. She was scouted for the program after gaining attention through her singing videos on social media.
In a 2020 interview with Voyage LA, Lara shared, “I began vocal lessons, acting training, and dance classes in Dallas, Texas, where I spent my early childhood.” During her time there, she showcased her talents with the Septien Entertainment Group, performing at significant venues such as the House of Blues, Hard Rock Cafe, American Airlines Center, Six Flags, and various music festivals.
As a teenager, Lara pursued further education in performing arts by relocating to New York City, where she studied at the Professional Performing Arts School and Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School, renowned for its illustrious alumni, including Jennifer Aniston and Timothée Chalamet. While attending school, she took part in numerous auditions, eventually landing a role in a 2018 episode of The Blacklist.
During her time on Pop Star Academy, she was introduced as a contestant after producers expressed the need for “a vocalist that will sell out stadiums.” Her talent helped her secure a place in KATSEYE, with a remarkable score of 82.67, earning her second place in the competition.
