Live-Action Boys-Love Series ‘Chotto Matō yo, Harutora-kun’ Drops New Trailer and Cast Ahead of August Premiere
MBS has unveiled a fresh trailer and visual for the upcoming live-action adaptation of Amekiri’s boys-love manga Chotto Matō yo, Harutora-kun (Wait a second, Harutora-kun). Set to premiere on MBS’s Dramaphil programming block on August 13, the new preview also treats fans to a first listen of the opening theme song “Ichizu no Rinbu” by Lienel. The series stars Masaya Sakuragi as Harutora Kurobe and Tsubasa Nakagawa as Sui Kishida, alongside a newly announced supporting cast featuring Rio Takahashi, Aren Sakurai, Yūga, Gakuto Tanaka, Ryōko Takizawa, and Eri Tokunaga.
From Bullying to Romance: Inside the High School Heartstorms
The story centers on Sui, a mask-wearing high schooler who becomes targeted by bullies after his sexuality is exposed. When a straightforward new student named Harutora arrives, Sui finds the inspiration to pull down his walls, sparking a slow-burn romance between the two boys. Directed by Keisuke Shibata and Masayoshi Kishida with scripts by Motoko Takahashi and Riuji Yoshizaki, the production also features dedicated behind-the-scenes support with Mimano Kawamoto serving as LGBTQ supervisor and Momoko Nishiyama acting as intimacy coordinator. Following its August 13 debut on MBS and TV Kanagawa, the series will roll out across TV Saitama, Gunma TV, Tochigi TV, and Chiba TV.
