Rafe Cameron Exits Outer Banks as John B. and Sarah Celebrate Family Milestones
In a dramatic turn of events, Rafe Cameron, portrayed by Rudy Pankow, has officially left the Outer Banks to begin anew with Sofia, played by Fiona Palomo, following the emergence of new evidence linking him to the murder of Sheriff Peterkin, portrayed by Adina Porter, from season one.
The conclusion of season five also brought a heartwarming resolution for John B. Routledge, played by Chase Stokes, and Sarah Cameron, portrayed by Madison Bailey. After Topper Thornton, played by Austin North, previously destroyed their home, the couple has successfully rebuilt it. In this familiar setting, Sarah welcomed their healthy baby boy, JJ.
In the intimate final scenes of the series, John B. and Sarah celebrate their love in a backyard wedding, attended by family—including Sarah’s mother, whom Sarah reunites with earlier in the season. Her mother watches proudly as her daughter marries the leader of the Pogues.
Reflecting on their journey, John B. remarked in the closing moments of season five, episode ten, “We went around the world looking for treasure. But in the end, we found everything we wanted right here, where we started. The Outer Banks. Paradise on Earth.”
