Hayden Panettiere Pronounced Dead in Greenville, South Carolina
New details have emerged following the heartbreaking death of actress Hayden Panettiere, known for her role in the television series Heroes. Authorities confirmed that Panettiere was pronounced dead in Greenville, South Carolina, shortly before 2 p.m. local time on August 16, after police and Emergency Medical Services responded to a report of an “unresponsive female.”
A spokesperson for the Greenville Police Department stated that medical assistance was administered upon arrival, but Panettiere was declared deceased at the scene. This statement was provided to People on August 17.
The Greenville Police Department, in collaboration with the Greenville County Coroner’s Office, is investigating the case. According to the spokesperson, the preliminary investigation has not revealed any signs of foul play or suspicious circumstances surrounding her death.
E! News has reached out to Panettiere’s representative and authorities for further comment but has not yet received a response.
