Tyler Duckworth’s Mother Remembers Her Son Following His Death at 44
Joni Duckworth announced the death of her son Tyler Duckworth, a star of The Challenge, at the age of 44, reflecting on both his personal and professional journey. In a statement to People on August 14, she shared fond memories of her son, recalling how “My Ty-Guy would skip to school when he was little.”
Joni expressed pride in Tyler’s career as a teacher, saying, “Tyler found his passion in teaching and he was good at it. I understand his students loved him.” She noted that he taught world history and had a love for history and geography, which he shared with his students after traveling extensively.
“He has now gone on to a better place where the hurts and challenges (pun intended) are no longer,” she added, highlighting her belief in his peaceful departure.
On August 13, Joni revealed that Tyler had died “earlier this week,” though she mentioned that the cause of death was still undetermined. Meanwhile, the Grand Forks Police Department in North Dakota informed E! News that Tyler was found in his apartment bathroom, indicating there were no signs of foul play and that the death did not appear suspicious. Police are presently awaiting toxicology results.
