Charli D’Amelio Makes Broadway Debut in & Juliet with Extended Run

TikTok sensation Charli D’Amelio, known for her dance skills, stepped into the Broadway scene with her debut in the musical & Juliet in October 2024. Initially set to conclude her role as Charmian in January 2025, her performance has since been extended twice due to popular demand.

In a statement released in September 2024, D’Amelio expressed her excitement about joining Broadway, saying, “I’m beyond excited to join the Broadway community—it’s a dream I’ve had since I was a little girl. To be able to make my Broadway debut—especially in the cast of & Juliet, is truly a dream come true, and I can’t wait to share this experience with everyone.”

This role marks D’Amelio’s first appearance on a Broadway stage, where she portrays a member of William Shakespeare’s Company of Players in a dance-heavy performance. D’Amelio reflected on the natural fit of dance in her life, stating, “Dance was always very special to me. I used dance as a way to communicate in a way I can’t always do with my words.”

Despite her talent and accomplishments, including winning her season of Dancing With the Stars, D’Amelio has shared her struggles with self-doubt. “I spent so much of my time growing up, never thinking that I would get to be in a room like this, and always doubting myself,” she said. She also expressed gratitude for her mother’s support, highlighting her role in driving her to dance classes and competitions and encouraging her aspirations.
