- Quest Diagnostics and Labcorp shares fell more than 5% following a CMS report on Medicare payments.
- Vicor’s stock surged 9% after revised revenue growth forecasts; On Holding announced ambitious financial targets.
Alibaba’s stock experienced a significant increase of more than 3% following comments from CEO Eddie Wu during the company’s Apsara Conference. Wu revealed that Alibaba Cloud intends to operate over 20 gigawatts of data centers globally by 2032 and introduced the Zhenwu V900 chip.
Conversely, shares of Quest Diagnostics and Labcorp Holdings each dropped more than 5%. CMS announced intentions to align Medicare payments more closely with private sector rates.
In contrast, Vicor saw a 9% increase in its stock price after the power electronics company provided an optimistic third quarter guidance, forecasting a sequential revenue growth exceeding 20% quarter over quarter, up from previous guidance of nearly 10%.
On Holding, the Swiss sportswear company, jumped more than 6% after unveiling new midterm financial targets during its Investor Day. These targets include achieving absolute net sales of at least CHF 5.6 billion by 2029 and maintaining a gross profit margin of 65% throughout this period. The company also plans to repurchase up to $1 billion in Class A ordinary shares by December 2029, while reiterating its outlook for 2026.
Lastly, GameStop’s shares rose 3.5% following an announcement from CEO Ryan Cohen regarding his purchase of 1.2 million shares, a move that contributed to renewed interest in the meme stock.
